"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
When we stop to reflect on the life of Jesus we see that he truly knows every sorrow we've ever felt, every pain we could ever endure, every joy in the Father we could ever experience, and he endured temptation just as we face temptation (Matt. 4). Because of Jesus, we can remind ourselves that temptation is only lies whispered from the devil, the father of lies himself (Jn. 8:44). In Christ, we find our strength when we submit to his love and glory and put him on the throne of our hearts as our deepest joy.
